What dental care costs in Diamond Bar: a published price guide

Every price In Line Dentistry publishes, in one table, with what is priced at the exam instead and how insurance, membership and financing apply.

Every published price, in one table

What is priced at the exam instead

Some treatment depends on the tooth: its size, how much of it is left, and what an X-ray shows underneath. For these, a published range would be a guess, so In Line gives an itemized written price at the exam, before anything starts.

  • Fillings, crowns and bridges. Priced per tooth at the exam. See crowns and bridges.
  • Tooth extractions. Done in-house by Dr. Chon, priced per tooth at the exam. See tooth extractions.
  • Clear aligners. Invisalign and OrthoFX, quoted in writing after a free consultation. See clear aligners.
  • Laser and take-home whitening, bonding and night guards. Priced in writing at the exam.
  • Root canals, full-arch implants and dentures. These start with an evaluation by Dr. Chon, who gets you out of pain and explains the options. A root canal is done here when the tooth suits it, otherwise by an endodontist he refers you to after the visit. See root canals and full-arch and dentures.

How insurance works here

In Line Dentistry is in-network with eight major PPO carriers (listed on the insurance page), and other PPO plans are welcome out-of-network: you pay the practice at your visit, In Line files your claim the same day, and your insurer reimburses you. The office checks your benefits for free before you arrive, and you get an estimate beforehand. The guide to out-of-network PPO insurance walks through each step.

Membership, if you have no insurance

The In Line Member plan is a discount plan, not insurance: one annual fee paid directly to the practice, with preventive visits included and member pricing on treatment beyond them. It can be held alongside a PPO plan. The comparison of membership and insurance covers who each one suits.

Paying over time

Financing is available on approved credit through CareCredit, Affirm, Klarna, Afterpay, Sunbit, LendingClub and Proceed Finance. The lender sets the terms. Because every price is in writing first, you know the total before you apply. The financing guide compares the partners.

Worked examples

  • A first visit, with or without a PPO plan: $95 flat, or $0 with an active PPO plan.
  • One missing tooth replaced with an implant, for a candidate: $1,990, including the implant, abutment and crown.
  • Four porcelain veneers across the front: four teeth at the 4–6 rate of $1,299 each, $5,196.
  • A broken tooth that cannot wait: the emergency visit is the same $95 flat visit, or $0 out of pocket with an active PPO plan; the repair is priced in writing before it starts.
Questions

Dental cost questions

How much is a dental visit in Diamond Bar without insurance?

At In Line Dentistry the new-patient visit is $95 flat: an exam, X-rays, a cleaning and a written plan, and $0 out of pocket with an active PPO plan. A dental emergency is the same visit, with no separate emergency fee.

Why are some treatments not priced online?

Fillings, crowns, bridges, extractions and similar treatment vary with the tooth: its size, how much of it is left and what is underneath. Rather than publish a range that may not fit, In Line gives an itemized written price at the exam, before anything starts.

Is the price on the website the price I pay?

Yes, for the published prices. In Line's rule is that the number you see is the number you pay. Where a treatment has no published price, the itemized written price at the exam is the number, and nothing is added afterwards without a new written price.

Can I use insurance and the membership plan together?

Yes. Insurance and the In Line Member plan are not mutually exclusive. How each one applies to a given treatment is shown on your written estimate before anything starts.
