What a dental implant costs in Diamond Bar

The $1,990 per-implant price, what it includes, who it is for, and how your own case is confirmed and priced in writing at a free consultation.

Dental Implants

What the $1,990 includes

One price covers the whole tooth: the titanium implant post that replaces the root, the abutment that connects it, and the porcelain crown you see and chew with. That is the complete implant unit, $1,990 per implant for candidates Dr. Chon confirms at a free consultation, and it is published up front on the pricing page.

Implant prices are often quoted in parts, with the post, the abutment and the crown arriving as separate numbers at different stages of treatment. At In Line the $1,990 is all three, so the number you see at the start is the number for the finished tooth.

Dr. Chon places the implant and restores it himself, here at the practice, with no referral out. The dentist who plans where the post goes is the dentist who fits the crown on it.

Who the price is for

The implant itself does not change from case to case. What can change is the bone it goes into, and that is what decides whether you are a candidate for the published price. An implant needs enough healthy bone to hold it, and after a tooth comes out that bone starts to thin, most of it in the first six months.

How candidacy is confirmed at the free consultation
Step What it looks at
The exam The gap, the teeth on either side and the health of your gums.
The 3D scan A cone-beam scan of the bone where the implant would sit, and whether anything is needed first.
Your written price Your plan and price in writing. Nothing begins until you have agreed to it.

$1,990 per implant when the exam and scan confirm you're a candidate. If your case needs anything more, you get an itemized written price at your free consultation before anything begins.

How you find out

There is no guessing involved. The implant consultation is free: an exam and a 3D cone-beam scan review with Dr. Chon. The scan shows how much bone there is where the tooth used to be, which is exactly what settles candidacy. You leave knowing whether the published price is yours, with your complete plan and price in writing before anything starts.

Some cases need something else first — a failing tooth that has to come out, or bone that needs preparing before the post can go in. Whatever your case needs appears on an itemized written price at your exam. Nothing is added later that you did not agree to up front.

More than one tooth

Each implant is placed and priced the same way, so a plan for two or three teeth is the same treatment repeated rather than a different procedure with different rules. Where several teeth in a row are missing, Dr. Chon maps the plan on the scan, and that plan is priced in writing at your exam.

When most of the teeth in an arch are missing, the conversation is different. It starts with a full-arch consultation, where Dr. Chon explains the options and tells you plainly whether the case is treated here or by a specialist he refers you to. The guide to full-arch implants vs dentures covers that in more detail.

Paying for an implant

Financing is available on approved credit through CareCredit, Affirm, Klarna, Afterpay, Sunbit, LendingClub and Proceed Finance. The lender sets the terms; In Line sets the price and gives it to you in writing first, so you know the total before you apply. See how financing works, or the guide to choosing a financing partner.

If you have dental insurance, In Line is in-network with eight major PPO carriers (listed on the insurance page), and other PPO plans are welcome out-of-network: you pay the practice, In Line files your claim the same day, and your insurer reimburses you. You get an estimate beforehand, and what a plan pays toward an implant depends on the plan. The insurance page explains the process step by step.

After the crown goes on

An implant is cared for like a natural tooth: brushing, flossing and regular checkups. In Line stands behind its implant work with a four-year care policy, kept active with routine six-month maintenance visits.

Dr. Chon sees patients on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and the office answers calls and books appointments Monday through Saturday. The page on dental implants in Diamond Bar walks through the process, candidacy and aftercare in full.
