Meet Dr. James Chon
Dr. James Chon grew up in Southern California, except for a brief move to Pennsylvania during middle school. He earned his undergraduate degree at UCLA and went on to complete his dental training at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. His path to dentistry wasn’t linear—in fact, it wasn’t until after college that he caught the bug for the profession during a life-changing mission trip to Guatemala. That experience opened his eyes to the power of dentistry to transform lives, and he’s never looked back.
At In Line Dentistry, Dr. Chon takes pride in reconnecting patients to the simple joys of life—chewing without discomfort, smiling proudly in photos, and living pain-free. For him, dentistry isn’t just about teeth—it’s about restoring the ability to fully be yourself. This core belief shapes everything about his approach to care: calm, clear communication, personalized treatment plans, and genuine connection with every patient who walks through the door.
Dr. Chon’s favorite services are cosmetics and implants—procedures that offer both aesthetic enhancement and functional support. Whether you're looking to upgrade your smile or replace missing teeth, he works with precision and patience to ensure you feel confident in your options and relaxed during treatment. Outside of the office, Dr. Chon enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, sharing their love of sports, and cooking meals for family and friends. According to him, good food and good conversation are the perfect recipe for community—and that spirit carries over into the warmth of In Line Dentistry, too.

We’ll take time to get to know you, your history, and your goals, because we believe that personalized care starts with understanding. You’ll meet our warm team, receive a thorough exam, and leave with a clear understanding of what comes next in your dental journey.

Expect to be greeted with a smile, whether over the phone or in person. During your visit, we’ll take x-rays (if needed), perform an exam, and recommend any next steps. Most importantly, we’ll take the time to answer your questions and ensure you're comfortable moving forward, with no pressure and no surprises.

Dr. Chon first discovered his passion for dentistry during a mission trip in Guatemala, providing care to people who otherwise had no access to it. Although In Line Dentistry does not currently have an official outreach program, that spirit of service and giving continues to influence the heart behind the practice today. Dr. Chon is open to future partnerships that support local schools, charitable organizations, or community initiatives in Diamond Bar and beyond.
